Health-Related Data
Some information you provide — particularly food allergies, medically-relevant dietary needs, and nutrition constraints — may constitute sensitive personal information under Canadian and other privacy laws. We process this data solely to provide you with safe, personalized meal recommendations.
Under PIPEDA and BC PIPA, we collect this sensitive information with your meaningful consent, which you provide when you voluntarily enter it into your dietary profile. You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting your food profile from your account settings. Withdrawing consent may limit our ability to provide personalized meal recommendations.
We do not provide medical or nutritional advice. Eatgent is a meal planning tool, not a healthcare service. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider regarding dietary decisions related to medical conditions.
AI Processing and Automated Decision-Making
Eatgent uses artificial intelligence (powered by AWS Bedrock) to:
- Analyze your dietary preferences and generate a dietary persona
- Calculate Fit Scores for recipes based on your profile
- Suggest weekly meal plans tailored to your preferences
- Generate grocery lists from your meal plan
Fit Scores are generated automatically based on your dietary restrictions, nutrition goals, cuisine preferences, and feedback history. These scores influence which recipes appear in your meal plan but do not make decisions with legal or significant effects on you. You can always swap recipes, regenerate your meal plan, or override any AI suggestion.
If you have questions or concerns about how our AI processes your data, contact us at support@eatgent.ai.

We do not sell your personal information. We share your data only with the following categories of service providers, solely to operate the Service:

Eatgent is based in Canada. Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. In particular, AI processing through AWS Bedrock and payment processing through Stripe may involve transfer of data to the United States.
