Fit Scores
Understand how fit scores show how well each recipe matches your food profile.
Every recipe in your meal plan has a fit score — a number from 0 to 100 that shows how well it matches your food profile. Higher scores mean a closer match to your preferences, dietary needs, and goals.
Score tiers
Fit scores are color-coded so you can see at a glance how well each recipe suits you:
- Green (80–100): Excellent match — This recipe closely aligns with your preferences and dietary needs.
- Yellow (60–79): Good match — This recipe is a solid fit with minor differences from your ideal.
- Red (below 60): Low match — This recipe doesn't align well with your profile. Consider swapping it for a better fit.
What factors into the score
Eatgent calculates fit scores based on several aspects of your food profile:
- Dietary restriction compliance — Whether the recipe respects your allergies, intolerances, and diet type.
- Nutrition alignment — How well the recipe's nutritional profile supports your health goals.
- Cuisine preferences — Whether the recipe's cuisine is one you enjoy or one you've asked to avoid.
- Past feedback — Your swap history and regeneration feedback help Eatgent learn what you like over time.
Scores improve over time
The more you use Eatgent, the better your fit scores get. When you swap meals, regenerate with feedback, or update your food profile, Eatgent learns from those signals and adjusts future recommendations. You should see scores trend upward as the system gets to know your taste.
