Generating Your List

How to generate a shopping list from your weekly meal plan and keep it up to date.

Your shopping list pulls together every ingredient from all seven recipes in your current meal plan into one consolidated list.

How to generate your list

  1. Make sure you have a meal plan for the week.
  2. Open Shopping List from the main navigation.
  3. Your list generates automatically, combining ingredients across all recipes.

Duplicate ingredients are merged and quantities are combined. If two recipes call for onions, you'll see a single entry with the total amount.

When your plan changes

If you swap a recipe or regenerate your meal plan after the shopping list was created, Eatgent detects the change. An orange banner appears at the top of the list letting you know the list may be outdated.

Click Regenerate on the banner to rebuild the list from your updated plan. Your previous check-off progress will reset since the ingredients may have changed.

Which recipes use each ingredient

Each ingredient shows small badges indicating which recipes need it. This helps you decide whether to skip an item if you've already swapped out a particular recipe.

Requirements

You need an active subscription to generate and use the shopping list.
