Dietary Restrictions
Types of dietary restrictions and allergies Eatgent supports.
Eatgent supports a wide range of dietary restrictions to help keep your meal plans safe and relevant. Restrictions you set in your food profile are used to filter out recipes that contain problem ingredients.
Allergy and intolerance support
You can flag specific food allergies and intolerances, including:
- Nut-free
- Dairy-free
- Gluten-free
- Egg-free
- Soy-free
- Shellfish-free
When a restriction is set, Eatgent avoids recipes that include those ingredients.
Lifestyle and dietary choices
Eatgent also supports broader dietary approaches:
- Vegetarian
- Vegan
- Pescatarian
- Keto
- Paleo
- Low-carb
These preferences shape the types of recipes selected for your weekly plan.
Combining restrictions
You can set multiple restrictions at the same time. For example, you might be both dairy-free and pescatarian, or follow a low-carb diet while avoiding nuts. Eatgent applies all of your restrictions together when matching recipes.
How restrictions affect fit scores
Recipes that comply with all of your restrictions score higher. If a recipe partially conflicts with a preference (but not a hard restriction), it may still appear with a lower fit score so you can decide whether to include it.
